The animal you won't keep as a pet?

Are there any animals out there which you're never going to consider keeping as a pet? For me, it's going to be snakes . I don't have any love for them. A friend of mine died from a snake bite which was said to be from a black mamba.

Any really big animal (dogs included). They tear shit up and constantly eat. hehe

What?! Lizards and snakes are awesome! I would love an Iguana, or a Bearded Dragon!

I used to have a tortoise as a pet. He was very intelligent and cunning - always used to make sure he had the pick of my grandmother's strawberries each year when they ripened. In the battle of wits between human and reptile, the humans seemed hopelessly outclassed.

Tortoises, on the other hand, seem to be very clever and sneaky. And can move surprisingly fast when they want to!

Mine used to definitely rule the garden. The dog knew he was only allowed to sleep and relax in there with the tortoises permission

Sorry, for me there is nothing like having a 'real' pet. Someone that actually becomes your best friend...

Pets do become your best friends. All of my dogs have been uniquely different through out the years, but I remember them always when they are gone and love the ones I have a lot while they are here.

Growing up we had pet rats. They are so sweet and awesome.
