The lyrics were deep, love lost and won, guitar hero's, drum gods and a lot of amazing musicians that changed music just that much more during this time period. I sent my dh a link to the drummer, Jerry Mercer from April Wine recently. I remembered seeing him drum solo on MTV many years ago and remembered "wow", he just keeps going. Neil Peart is another drum God from Rush. There are so many... and then there's Angus Young from ACDC; stellar on the guitar. In contrast, Stevie Ray Vaughan (RIP).
