When you switch on your data connection, there is always that exposure, which happens, and we can't say what is what unless we are very careful with how we expose our personal details on the internet. How then do you get to keep yourself safe while on the internet?

Do not put personal stuff on the internet if you can avoid it! I am disabled so I have to order stuff on line, but I always make sure afterwards I wipe the data of my debit or credit card (my PC has an option to 'remember the details') and I always avoid. Usually it works and I keep the accoutns clear. Also I monitor my Amazon a/c daily as it has a history of being hacked/broken,. and also my bank a/c daily to make sure nobody has gotten in and ordered something in my name.
Actually the bank are bloody brilliant, when I got de-frauded a few years ago, they tracked down the cash and the perpetrators (the police wouldn't do anything, they said they hadn't the manpower) and got the cash back and passed a report to the police. Who still wouldn't do anything!

I use 2FA whenever offered, and all my passwords are ginormous and extremely complex. I also never click on weird links in e-mail or whatever. I use at least 6 anti-malware/phishing/privacy browser plugins, and a high strength VPN.

I've never had an issue so far....

I don't worry about my privacy too much. I'm not too concerned with my location being shared, and I don't got anything to hide.

I use 2FA on all my accounts. I believe this is the best thing to do online. You never know these days. You have to remain secured.
